Candle Wax | Golden Brands Soy, IGI Blends, Gel & Beeswax
CandleChem carries candle wax for every project — Golden Brands 444, 454, 464 and 494 soy waxes, IGI 6006 paraffin/soy and IGI 4627 Comfort Blend container waxes, Penreco Versagel™ C candle gel, our CW-series paraffin blends, and pure beeswax — in sizes from 1 lb bags to 50 lb cases.
Golden Brand 454 (by AAK) is a blend of soy with coconut wax. It is vegan and palm free and is a single-pour wax that produces smooth tops. Has great cold and hot scent throw. This wax blend reduces chance of extreme frosting (bloom). Can be poured at higher temperatures (up to 180 degrees F). Has a melting point of 115-125 degrees F and is available in 45 pound cases and packaged in 5 and 10 pound quantities. SKU Number: GB-454Soy/Coco
IGI 6006 container wax is a super soft, creamy and opaque wax and has a semi-gloss finish. It is a low shrink wax that may or may not need a re-pour depending on pouring conditions. Colors nicely and the hot and cold scent throw is very good. Available in case of 40 pounds, 20 pounds and a 10 pound slab. SKU Number: IGI6006
A wax specially designed for votives, molded tapers and pillars. CBL 141 wax offers excellent mold release and the ability to achieve vibrant color with superb burning characteristics. Will hold up to 8% fragrance. Available in 10 lbs, 20 lbs and 50 lbs.
GOLDEN BRAND 494.... an all-natural soy wax from AAK that is specifically developed for wax melts and candle tarts. Not for use in wicked candles. Packaged in flake form and available in 5 lbs, 10 lbs and 45 lbs.
A very soft and creamy single pour container wax. Will hold up to 2 oz of fragrance per pound of wax (12%) and has excellent hot and cold throw. Requires no additional additives. Just add color and fragrance. Packaged in a 25 pound bag.
Golden Brand 464 Soy Wax - GW464 is a premium soy wax blended with other soy additives to enhance the performance of the burn, color and achieve an excellent scent throw for container candles. The blend will hold up to 10% fragrance load and the finished candles have a smooth top with a rich, creamy, solid color. It is also a great blending wax for paraffin, beeswax or can be used for lotions, creams, and lip balms etc. Has a melting point of 113-119 degrees Fahrenheit. Available in 5 lbs, 10 lbs and 45 lbs.
GW444 is a premium soy wax blended with other soy additives to enhance the performance of the burn, color and achieve an excellent scent throw for container candles. This wax is very similar to GW464 but has a higher melting point which allows the candles to hold their shape better in warm weather. Also ideal in blending with paraffin, beeswax or can be used for lotions and creams. Has a melting point of 119-125 degrees Fahrenheit. Available in 5 lbs, 10 lbs and 45 lbs.
100% pure natural yellow Beeswax. Added to paraffin wax and blends to improve burning quality and increase melting point and burning time of wax. Can be used straight to make all natural scented beeswax candles. Select from 1 pound or 5 pounds. SKU Number: Bwax Pastil
Soy Wax
Golden Brands 464 and 444 are popular container soy waxes (444 has a slightly higher melting point), 454 is a soy/coconut blend, and 494 rounds out the soy line. All are available in bulk sizes for chandlers who pour in volume.
Paraffin and Container Blends
IGI 6006 is a paraffin/soy container blend and IGI 4627 Comfort Blend is a soft container wax known for strong scent throw. Our CW125 One Pour, CW127, CW137 and CW155 paraffin candle waxes come in 10 lb and 50 lb sizes, plus a dedicated pillar/votive paraffin blend and sculpture wax.
Gel Wax and Beeswax
Penreco Versagel™ C candle gel comes in low (LP), medium (MP) and high (HP) density grades for gel candles, and natural beeswax is stocked as blocks, 1 lb and 10 lb bars, and easy-melting pastilles.
